There's nothing like getting a commission with the chance of some hard cash to make you push yourself...you can't really see it here, but I learned how to make realistic Poser fur in the Hair Room, on his shorts.

Postwork in Photoshop - some extra shadows/highlights and colour correction, but otherwise not a million miles away from the original Poser render - the secret's in the lighting, as ever with the Firefly render engine.

Sky was done in Vue; background figures all in Poser. The original is 3200*2600 pixels; the original client didn't go for it, but happily enough, it was snapped up by TCG publisher for their box art, I also wrote a 4-page tutorial in CG Artist magazine about it and it was used as the cover for the Dutch issue of "Advanced Photoshop", so I'm pretty happy with it, to say the least!
